Construction Begins for 
Lake Pleasant Pkwy, Loop 303 to CAP Canal

The City of Peoria's Lake Pleasant Parkway (LPP) Improvements (EN00905), Loop 303 to 1000 feet north of the Central Arizona Project (CAP) Canal, will widen LPP to three lanes in each direction from Loop 303 to 1000 feet north of the CAP Canal.

 

Additional improvements include a bridge widening over the CAP Canal, bike lanes, curb, gutter, sidewalk, streetlights, drainage improvements, extension of the water system, wastewater system, reclaimed water, interconnect, dry utilities, and landscaping within the raised median.

This project will also construct Amkor Way (EN00902) from LPP to 96th Avenue to include two lanes in each direction with a center turn lane. Additional improvements include bike lanes, curb, gutter, sidewalk, streetlights, drainage improvements, extension of the water system, wastewater system, reclaimed water, interconnect, and dry utilities.

 

Lake Pleasant Parkway from the Loop 303 to the CAP Canal began construction in Fall 2025 with expected completion in 2027. A future phase of improvements to Lake Pleasant Parkway from just north of the CAP Canal to SR74 is currently programmed for later years.

 

This project is the first to be constructed as part of the Peoria Innovation Core (PIC), a partnership with Arizona State Land Department (ASLD) that allows the City of Peoria to lead the land planning efforts.
